In the age of living at home, it is difficult to tango with the neighbors–not that we ever did as house cats, for it is a dangerous world out there. It has been about 5 months since the human world has shut down outside, and things have become very quiet. Yes, there were times we still hear human noises, though mostly it has been other neighbors that are rustling. These neighbors are covered in stiffer fur than that of ours. They like to spread their phalanges out as they hop from one tree branch to another. They are agile. And they make their helical path up the trunk, often with a nut in the jaw. We watch them and they stare back. Then they disappear into the leaves.
